Please join us on Saturday March 13, 2021 for the 3rd Annual St. Patrick's Rock'n 5K in Youngstown, New York! The race is being brought to you by iRun WNY and will take place entirely within Fort Niagara State Park. Our goal is to help raise money for the Youngstown Volunteer Fire Company Equipment Fund.
NEW FOR 2021: This year because of Covid, we are moving the race to Fort Niagara State Park to allow for greater social distancing and increased parking. We are planning to use USATF Course #NY11071JG and runner/staff safety will be our number one priority. CLICK HERE to view iRunWNY safety protocols implimented during the pandemic. There will be one water station located along the course and bottled water will be provided to participants at the finish line along with a grab & go food item.
CAUTION DURING COVID
2-hour start window (10am - 12pm)
After speaking with representativies from New York State Parks it has been decided that we will offer a 2-hour window (10am to 12pm) for runners to check in using our drive thru service and start the race. Individual start times will be assigned to all participants throughout the event. If by chance Northern Niagara County should see an increase in Covid cases causing it to move into the yellow zone, we may elect to add an additional hour to the start window. Should Northern Niagara County move into the Covid Red Zone, the event will be switched to 100% virtual.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP
Online registration will remain open right up until race day or until sold out. During the pandemic we will be checking runners in for the race using our convenient drive-thru, touch free service in the main parking lot along the beach. Runners will stay in their vehicles while our staff safely hands you your race bib, timing chip, finisher medal*, pins, etc. Bottled water and grab & go food items will be distributed at the finish line after the race.
Remember that we are assigning individual start times to each participant over a two hour period of time (10am to 12pm). Your registration fee includes a custom St. Patrick's Day Rock'n 5K race bib, large shamrock finisher medal/bottle opener*, and post race grab & go food/snack. The race will be capped at 500 people with an extended start window of 2 hours
5K Run/Walk Registration
$30 through 2/10/21 with guaranteed finisher medal!
$35 2/12/21 through race day (extra medals on first come-first serve basis!)
*We are placing the order for custom finisher medals on 2/12/21. You will be guaranteed to receive one as long as you register before that date. We will also be ordering a small quantity of extra finisher medals that we will distribute on a first-come, first-serve basis (based on registration date) until they are gone. We will provide a different item altogether in the event that we completely run out of medals. Register early!

If you prefer to mail in your registration, please download both the race waiver and appropriate USATF liability waiver below and mail to the address shown. You must complete and mail BOTH waivers to the address shown on the waiver along with your check payable to iRunWNY.

NEW: Virtual Registration Option
Can't make the race... Participate virtually! Simply sign up for the Virtual Race option by February 11, 2021. You choose the location and time to get out on your own and run/walk your 5K between 3/1/21 and 4/1/21. Feel free to use the FREE IYR Virtual App to track and score your run. You will also be able to manually enter your finish time directly to the IYR Results Page starting on 3/1/21 and ending on 4/1/21. We will automatically mail out your St Patrick's Rock'n 5K custom race bib and shamrock finisher medal (Continental USA only for shipping). I will continue to hold medals and swag for our Canadian friends until we are able to meet again when the borders reopen!
POST RACE CELEBRATION
During Covid we are not allowed to host any type of post race celebration. We will provide all participants with bottled water and grab & go food item. The park is open to the general public on both days.
There will be plenty of free parking in the main parking lot near the pool/beach a short 3-4 minute walk to the start/finish area. Please refrain from parking in the Historic Old Fort Niagara parking lot as they are open for business and have asked us to use the main lot on both days.
AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
Hand crafted trophies will be presented to the 1st place overall male and female finishers. There will be no formal awards ceremony during Covid, however all participants can download custom finisher certificates from the event page and view/share finish line photos following the race!
14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69. 70-74, 75-79, 80 and older.

In the event of foul weather, public safety concerns, or for any other reason deemed necessary by race organizers (ex: state of emergency, shelter-in-place, limit on social gatherings, etc), we want runners to know up front that we reserve the right to reschedule the event OR convert this to a virtual 5K race. If we convert it to a virtual race, runners will run on their own during a designated window of time and submit their finish time as instructed. Additional information will be presented should we be forced to hold a virtual race. There will be no refunds.
TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Chip start/chip finish timing services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:

Race participants can also use the ITSYourRace platform to view and share finish line photos with family and friends for free on Facebook. Custom finisher certificates can also be downloaded from the results page at no charge!
